Mentoring
The firm has an active Mentor program. Mentors orient the Associate to the Firm and the legal profession, provide support, and act as coach and advocate. The Mentor helps the Associate develop and use good judgment, insight and common sense. The Mentor may or may not have the responsibility to delegate work, but can assist with maintaining quality control, suggest and approve educational opportunities, provide training on efficiency, client relations and file management; and evaluate the Associate’s work product and general lawyering abilities.
What the Associate Can Expect
- A mentor who will answer their questions regarding both lawyer and non-lawyer issues.
- A weekly meeting schedule to ensure consistent communication with your mentor.
- Feedback regarding your work, time management and delegation.
- Suggestions from your mentor for improvement and learning opportunities.
- Assistance from your mentor with your integration into the firm during the early months.
