Annie is a business transactional attorney with the experience and insight to assist clients in all aspects of running a business, including strategic planning, commercial transactions, and corporate governance.

In addition to general business matters, Annie has significant experience with financial and real estate transactions. For these transactions, Annie has been on both sides of the equation. Whether it is lenders and borrowers, landlords and tenants, or buyers and sellers, Annie is skilled in providing customized and practical guidance.

Annie helps clients protect their valuable IP assets, including securing ownership, obtaining federal trademark registrations, negotiating favorable IP terms in agreements, and licensing IP to or from third parties.

Annie’s business-focused and pragmatic approach is informed by the years she spent practicing in a variety of industries, in both metropolitan and rural regions. Through these experiences, Annie gained valuable insight into legal issues commonly facing organizations as well as a deep understanding of challenges faced by businesses of all sizes and industries.

Annie grew up in rural Washington and attended the Central Washington University and Willamette University College of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude. Annie practiced at Lane Powell PC for 10 years – and was named partner – before joining JDSA.

Annie enjoys providing pro bono volunteer services to nonprofit organizations, including service as outside general counsel to both the Catalyst Wilderness Therapy Program and the Special Olympics, as well as service on the Board of Directors of NAPE, a nonprofit organization that provides higher education opportunities to underprivileged communities in Africa.

In her free time, Annie loves being active and outdoors with family and friends. You can find her hiking and climbing on rocks and trails around Washington and Oregon.
