On Tuesday, August 22nd, the Chelan County Board of Commissioners released Resolution No. 2017-75, entitled: “A Resolution Regarding Cannabis Activities Within Unincorporated Chelan County”.
The new regulations are cumbersome, and all but ban the production or processing of cannabis in the unincorporated regions of Chelan County. Compliance with the new code may be a challenge. These regulations appear to be retroactive, and will shut down the majority of the local industry due to the zoning and buffer requirements.
