JDSA Supports Women in Law & Intellectual Property Summit

On Behalf of | Nov 7, 2017 | Firm News

JDSA is a proud sponsor of the Women in Law & IP Summit being held on November 9, 2017 in Seattle, WA.  Several hundred attorneys are expected to attend including, executives and business leaders that rarely get together in one place, at one time — creating a unique platform for exchanging ideas, and connecting to industry thought leaders.

The Summit aims to explore career obstacles, risks and rewards on the path to a fulfilling and productive career for women lawyers – specifically when practicing in intellectual property and technology hubs. JDSA’s own Sally White and Laraine Burrell will be at the Summit.

As one of several presentations that will provide networking and learning opportunities on topics including mentorship, gender equity and career management, Sally will be a featured speaker on the topic of Work-Life and Career Management: Creating the Right Blend for Your Goals and Life.

“I’m thrilled to speak at the Women in Law & IP Summit. Work-life and career management is something people of all genders deal with, but gender disparity still exists in many walks of life such that women often feel these pressures in different ways than their male counterparts.  As a mother of two little ones under the age of three, and as an individual who is also highly career-driven, I look forward to networking with others who can intimately relate to the challenges faced by women practicing in this rapidly growing field.”
— Attorney, Sally F. White
